Enumclaw’s Kathy Het-tick elected second vice president of the National Society of Accountants | Business

Enumclaw’s Kathy Het-tick was elected second vice president of the National Society of Accountants during the NSA’s 68th annual meeting in Indianapolis.

Hettick will serve in the position for one year.

She brings years of accounting experience with her to the position as she has owned her accounting and tax practice for the last 26 years. Hettick is also an educator and provides continuing education to the tax profession and has spoken at the IRS Tax Forums for the last four years. She is an active member of several professional organizations including NSA and Washington Association of Accountants and has held numerous leadership positions at local, state and national levels, including WAA president. In 2007, Hettick was awarded the NSA Distinguished Service Award and has served as an NSA Administrative Chair for seven years.

She holds the credentials of Enrolled Agent, Accredited Business Advisor, Accredited Tax Preparer and Registered Tax Return Preparer.

“The practical approach that Kathy brings to this position will be an asset to NSA as we tackle critical issues in the accounting profession,” said Steve Hanson, president of the NSA. “We are pleased to have her on our leadership team.”
