Word spreads to eat, shop, play here

Cross marketing and advertising is imperative, especially in this economy, and we have an exciting opportunity for Enumclaw area businesses to gain visibility and customers.

As we focus on the “shop local” concept, we want to do everything we can to bring business to our merchants. In partnership with the Enumclaw Expo Center we are putting final touches on a new informational kiosk that is conveniently located inside the Expo Center grounds. Thousands of guests visit the Expo Center annually for events such as the fair and Scottish Highland Games, and these efforts are aimed at drawing them into town to “Eat, Shop and Play” while here.

On one side will be a large map of the city under the heading of “Discover Enumclaw”, on the other will be “Experience Enumclaw – Eat, Shop, Play.” Twelve boxes will offer visitors Enumclaw street maps, chamber Visitor Guides and Business Directories, Chinook Scenic Byways maps, plus local information promoting chamber members and how guests at the Expo Center can experience what the rest of businesses on the Plateau have to offer.

In addition, the Expo Center has offered the chamber their own booth space at many of their upcoming events. Pegi Moll, our member and marketing representative, will be distributing “goodie bags” chock full of business promotions to visitors encouraging them to shop Enumclaw first.

The Expo Center will also be offering free shuttle service to and from the downtown area during some of the major events to promote the great products and services our town has to offer.
