Visitor Guide and Business Directory is important to area commerce

By Cathy Rigg

Executive director, Enumclaw Chamber of Commerce

A very popular marketing piece for our community is the Visitor Guide and Business Directory published by the Enumclaw Chamber of Commerce.

This brochure contains a magnitude of great information about the Enumclaw community like history, demographics and community services information. It is also a marketing piece for chamber businesses and members.

The Business Directory is one of the best tools that members can utilize to increase their visibility and customer base. Last year, over 5,000 directories were distributed throughout Enumclaw and to our out-of-town guests.

The most recent directory has seen extensive distribution. With more than 6,000 guests from all over the world coming to our Visitor Information Center, we use this guide to inform them about our community. New this year, we distributed thousands at the Expo Center in our informational kiosk and in goodie bags to guests at the major events during the summer months.

Chamber staff has begun working on the 2009-10 Visitor Guide and Business Directory. This year the ad sales will be completely done in-house by staff and using our local members to help with production. Chamber members will automatically receive two free listings – one categorical and one alphabetical. Additional advertising opportunities from business card size to full page ads are also available to our members.

If your business is not a member of the chamber, now is a great time to join and benefit from the free listings in the 2009-2010 Visitor Guide and Business Directory.

We invite the residents and businesses of Enumclaw to stop by and pick up a Visitor Guide or city map for your home or business. They are both handy tools to have.

Please contact Pegi Moll, our membership and marketing representative at 360-825-7666 if your business is interested in advertising in the new 2010 guide which is scheduled for completion by year-end.
