Gift-giving at the Black Diamond Community Center

Each year the Black Diamond Community Center provides Christmas for children of low-income families from the region.

Eligible families live in Black Diamond, Ravensdale, Lake Sawyer and the Green River Gorge.

Volunteers are collecting new and unwrapped toys for children of all ages. Those wishing to donate can deliver items before Tuesday.

Those who need to apply for assistance can fill out an application at the center as soon as possible. The center is at 31605 Third Ave., state Route 169, in Black Diamond.

Gifts will be distributed between 5 and 8 p.m. Dec. 22.
