David and Peggy (Neal) Lunde celebrated 50 years of marriage Aug. 16, 2011.

Both graduated from White River High School in 1958 and they were married by the groom’s father, the Rev. James Lunde, who pastored the South Prairie church.

He retired from Weyerhaeuser after 40 years and she retired as a medical assistant.

They have three children: Timothy and  his wife Barbara, James and his wife Christine and Tonya and her husband Brian. They also have 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

They celebrated their golden anniversary at a party at the home of their son Jim.

They now anticipate working with the CASA organization when they’re not traveling and fishing.
