White River's McBarron part of Saturday's Princess Promenade

The Daffodil Festival's annual Princess Promenade is scheduled for Saturday at the Sharon McGavick Conference Center in Lakewood and this year will mark the first time a White River High School student will participate.

Representing WRHS will be Megan McBarron.

Princess Promenade is the official ceremony were each young woman selected to representing her high school is tapped and proclaimed an official Daffodil Princess; they will each receive their Princess Tiara and a Golden Daffodil. This is the first time the Royal Court will be presented to the public.

Doors open at 6 p.m. The program starts at 7.

The Princess Promenade and tapping ceremony will be followed by a dessert social. Reservations are required by Jan. 27. The cost to attend the social is $20.

This year's Daffodil Festival theme is “Don’t Stop Believing.” Daffodil Festival Grand Flora Parade is set for April 14.
