Art in the Garden coming to Enumclaw

July 23, 2012 · 3:04 PM

Arts Alive! Center for the Arts will present Art in the Garden Aug. 4-5 in the vibrant, 3.5-acre setting of the Matson Family Farm Gardens.

The two-day event will showcase the work of more than 30 local artists, from silks and watercolor to yard art, concrete and pottery.

As well as supporting local Plateau artists, the annual event serves as the signature fundraising event for Arts Alive! All proceeds from this event support scholarship and grant programs.

“This is a highlight of the year for Arts Alive!,” said Lorrie Maras, chairwoman of the organization’s board of directors. “We can put meaningful dollars into scholarships and grants because of the success of this weekend. Certainly, there could not be a more inspired location to discover and enjoy such diverse and talented artists.”

The event is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Aug. 4 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the following day.

Admission is free and, aside from the artwork, visitors will find food and drink vendors and music throughout the day.

Matson Family Farm Gardens is at 46620 228th Ave. S.E. in Enumclaw.
