King County Community Service Area program hosts spring open house series

Residents of unincorporated King County can meet with County officials, learn about small grant opportunities for their community, and be informed about current County work in their community during a series of open houses, scheduled in April, May and June.

Sponsored by the King County Community Service Area (CSA) program, the open houses are an excellent opportunity for residents of unincorporated areas to learn more about King County’s work in their specific community.

Open houses will take place from 7-9 p.m. The first fifteen minutes will give opportunities for residents to meet with representatives of specific County departments and branches.  Staff will also be available to provide help with potential CSA small grant applications.  The meetings are scheduled for:

Vashon/Maury Island featuring Assistant Deputy County Executive Rhonda Berry and County Councilmember Joe McDermott

McMurray Middle School, 9329 Cemetery Rd., Vashon

Thursday, April 11

Snoqualmie Valley/NE King County Area CSA featuring Deputy County Executive Fred Jarrett and County Councilmember Kathy Lambert

Fall City Library, 33415 SE 42nd Pl., Fall City

 

Wednesday, April 17

North Highline/West Hill CSA featuring Deputy County Executive Fred Jarrett and County Councilmembers Larry Gossett and Joe McDermott

Wednesday, May 1

Southeast King County Area CSA featuring Assistant Deputy County Executive Rhonda Berry and County Councilmember Reagan Dunn

Location: Muckleshoot Library, 39917 Auburn Enumclaw Rd. SE, Auburn

Bear Creek/Sammamish CSA featuring Deputy County Executive Fred Jarrett and County Councilmember Kathy Lambert

Greater Maple Valley/Cedar River CSA featuring Deputy County Executive Fred Jarrett and County Councilmember Reagan Dunn

Wednesday, June 5

Four Creeks/Tiger Mountain CSA featuring Assistant Deputy County Executive Rhonda Berry and County Councilmember Reagan Dunn

At the open houses, residents can learn more about the County projects in their area, discuss community priorities, speak with program staff and obtain information about County programs and services.
