Puget Sound Blood Center blood drive | Sacred Heart Catholic Church

The Puget Sound Blood Center will host a blood drive Monday, Aug. 4, in the parish hall at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Staff will see donors from 1 to 7 p.m., taking a break from 3 to 3:45.

Donors may sign up by visiting Walk-in donors also will be seen, around the scheduled appointments.

During the summer months the accident rate increases 20 percent due to people being more active and a higher number of accidents occurring.  Meanwhile the number of blood donations decreases in summer, making it a struggle to maintain an ample supply.

Donations at blood drives like Monday's event allow the PSBC to maintain a stable blood supply.

Sacred Heart Catholic Church is at 1614 Farrelly St. in Enumclaw.
