Cox and Price are engaged
Crystal Cox and Benjamin Price have announced their engagement and plans for an August wedding.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Darryl and Robin Hooper of Buckley and is attending Green River Community College.
The groom-elect is the son of Laura and Jeff Price of Puyallup. He graduated from The Evergreen State College with a master’s degree in environmental science.
The couple are planning to be married Aug. 1, 2009, in Buckley.
Fink, Tribbett will wed in
Jennifer Fink and Randy Tribbett have announced their engagement and plans for a March 2009 wedding.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Donna Bode of Enumclaw and Joseph Bode of Charlottesville, Va. She is a 1991 graduate of Jupiter High School in Jupiter, Fla., and is employed by The Courier-Herald.
The groom-elect is the son of Debra and Randy Tribbett of Spanaway, Wash. He works as a store manager for Walt’s Auto Care Centers on Puyallup’s South Hill.
They are planning a March 10 wedding at the Lime Tree Beach Resort in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. A reception is planned for sometime during the summer.
Couple says vows in the national park
Matthew McGibney and Tiffanie Preslar were married the afternoon of Aug. 16, 2008, at Kalaloch Beach in the Olympic National Park. The ceremony was followed by an outdoor reception on the lawn of Lake Quinault Lodge.
The bride is the daughter of Jeff and Tracy Preslar of Kayesville, Utah. She graduated from Davis High School in 2000 and is assistant manager of Great Clips for Hair in Covington while earning her degree in human resources management.
The groom is the son of Michael and Jean McGibney. He is a 1989 graduate of Napa High School and earned his degree in wildlife and fisheries biology from the University of California at Davis before attending Comair Aviation Academy in Sanford, Fla. He is employed as a pilot for Alaska Airlines.
The couple honeymooned on the Olympic Peninsula and reside in Black Diamond.
Party notes golden
Enumclaw residents Chester and Agnes Wright celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Dec. 21, 2008.
They have three sons – Chester III, Delane and Steven – and have nine grandchildren. They are still busy operating the family-owned business, Wright’s Services,in Enumclaw, and she also keeps busy with her Red Hat group, the Busy Bees.
Son Steven hosted a surprise party at his Puyallup home and presented them with a teacup poodle puppy; son Chester sent them on a 15-day cruise to Hawaii and son Delane provided the ship-to-shore excursions.
Chuck and Arleene Lybeck of Enumclaw will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary Feb. 25.
Friends are invited to join the celebration, planned for 5 to 10 p.m. at the Veterans of Foreign Wars hall in Enumclaw.
They were married in 1959 at Calvary Presbyterian Church in Enumclaw with the Rev. Sendall performing the ceremony.
They have three sons: Chuck and wife Brenda, Greg and wife Dana and Brian and wife Linda. They also have eight grandchildren.
He retired from Weyerhauser and she retired from the King County Fairgrounds. Hobbies include hunting, fishing, traveling and enjoying family and friends.
