It was a close race for the 2009 People’s Choice Award for Best Chocolate of Festival but, with 769 ballots counted – and only 32 votes separating the winner and the runner up – the winner was Sweet Decadence from Newcastle, Wash. Enumclaw’s Sweet Necessities was runner-up at the inaugural Chocolate Festival, which took place Feb. 6 and 7 at the Enumclaw Expo Center. According to event coordinator Carrie Olson, Intrigue Chocolates received the most comments on the ballot.
