Contestants wait their turn during a swim meet at Pete’s Pool. Information with this photograph suggests it was taken in the 1950s. Pete’s Pool was created by resident Pete Chorak and community members. The spring-fed pool was a popular summer spot until it was closed and downsized to a wading pool in the late 1980s-early 1990s. The fieldhouse still stands.
