Enumclaw residents Walter and Marguerite Plagens recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

The couple were married May 20, 1949, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Enumclaw.

Traveling has been a major part of their lives and they have visited every national monument, national forest and/or national park. After retiring in 1989 – both worked at Mutual of Enumclaw – they searched for a winter home in the sun, finding a place in Salome, Ariz.

They have a daughter, Connie Plagens, who will host a summertime gathering for family and friends at her Enumclaw home.
