Nathanial Christian Forza, born June 1, 2009, at Enumclaw Regional Hospital was welcomed by recently-crowned King-Pierce County Dairy Ambassador Hillary Mower as June’s Dairy Baby. June is National Dairy Month, and for years the King Pierce Dairy Women have greeted the first baby born in June at the Enumclaw hospital with a basket of goodies. Nathanial made his appearance at 11:26 a.m. to Wendy Vander Wel and Jerry Forza of Enumclaw. The 8-pound, 13-ounce, 21 1/2-inch long bundle of joy joins an older brother Michael Forza, 14. He is also welcomed by grandparents Judy Vander Wel and Jerry Forza and great-grandparents Pat and Jim Forza, all of Enumclaw. Celebration of dairy month continued with activities Friday at the Enumclaw Senior Activity Center and Mount Rainier Bank. Earlier, the dairy ambassador made an appearance at Kibler Elementary School and was also in attendance at the state high school fastpitch tournament in Tacoma. On June 19 in Lynnwood, Wash., former King-Pierce Dairy Ambassador Elizabeth Birklid will compete for the state crown. Photo by Brenda Sexton -
