The Friends of Eileen Griffiths will host a spaghetti dinner/raffle/auction fundraiser Aug. 22 at the Enumclaw Moose Lodge.
The Friends of Eileen Griffiths is a group of close friends who wish to support her during a difficult time in her life. Griffiths, 55, has been diagnosed with lymphoma stage 4 cancer. She has been undergoing chemotherapy. In September, she and her husband, Vinnie, will be moving into an apartment near the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle. They will need to live near the cancer center for 120 days, as she will undergo a stem dell transplant in the fight against her cancer.
The goal is to raise $5,000 to offset the expenses the Griffiths will incur during their stay in Seattle.
Griffiths has served as past president of the Enumclaw Garden Club, past district officer of the Chinook District Garden Club and as past officer and current Past Junior Graduate Regent of the Enumclaw Moose Lodge.
