Enumclaw-based Helac Corporation, a manufacturer of hydraulic rotary actuators and construction equipment attachments since 1974, has promoted Bill Power from chief operating officer to president.

Power’s promotion, after his two-year tenure at Helac, includes additional leadership responsibilities with a stronger emphasis on operations, market and product development, and customer service.

“Bill has become a critical asset to Helac in a very short time,” said Dean Weyer, Helac’s chief executive officer. “He has guided Helac through the economic downturn and simultaneously continued to lay the foundation for long-term growth by taking care of our customers first, running a lean organization, and developing new products our markets need and want. “

A leader in the fluid power industry for more than 40 years, Helac Corporation designs and manufactures a comprehensive line of hydraulic rotary actuators and construction equipment attachments. Helac PowerTilt and PowerGrip, two specialty products, increase the utilization of backhoes and excavators.
