Gateway Concert Band offers winter concert at Enumclaw, White River high schools

The Gateway Concert Band will present its winter concerts, entitled “Yuletide Celebration,” at 2 p.m. Dec. 2 at the White River High School auditorium and at 7:15 p.m. Dec. 3 at the Enumclaw High School auditorium.

The concerts are an eclectic mixture of Christmas, Hanukkah and other seasonal music. Director Jack Prindle will be featured, playing Ernst Sasche’s “Concertino in E-Flat” on the soprano cornet.

There is no admission charge, but a $10 donation is recommended.

The Gateway Concert Band is a community band based in Enumclaw. Formed in March of 1996, it has presented more than 185 performances in its 16-year history. The band is open to any interested adult and competent high school instrumentalists, without audition. Rehearsals are from 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays at Enumclaw Middle School.
