Enumclaw’s Gallery featuring work by Tacoma painter

The work of Tacoma painter JoAnn Dorsey-Hayden will be featured Thursday through April 1 at the city of Enumclaw’s Gallery 2014. Her show is entitled, “The Beauty of Nature.”

Dorsey-Hayden deftly applies her artistic talents to watercolors, pastels, watercolor pencils, acrylics and oils. Her images are representational and she employs dynamic compositions to build the viewers interest and lead them through each of the works.

“Though I have had no formal art education, my family has a long heritage of artists,” Dorsey-Hayden said, noting that her paintings have been in numerous shows.

Gallery 2014 is in council chambers at Enumclaw City Hall, 1339 Griffin Ave. Hours for the exhibition space are 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
