Watch the Towers

Watch the towers burning one by one,

All lit by a single spark.

The flames leap here then there.

And one by one they ignite.

Once they were mighty fortresses

STRONG!

STRAIGHT!

IMPENTATRABLE!

Almost invincible,

Or so we thought.

One by one, they burn, one by one

And one more, all burning.

We built them, You and I

In our minds.

Built them to keep out the

FEAR, the PAIN, the LONELINESS

And the longing for.

Built them, You and I.

Now, they are all burning

And the spark that set

Them aglow is LOVE

When they are all gone,

We will be as before:

OPEN!

APPROACHABLE!

VULNERABLE!........

Innocent.

We will become strength

Without the need for barriers.

Come, take my hand,

Love me

And together we will

Watch the towers burn.
