Autumn Winds brings jazz and art to Enumclaw Sept. 20

Autumn Winds should prove to be an exciting and fun event for the entire family, said city of Enumclaw Cultural Programs Manager Gary LaTurner.

"This is an excellent opportunity to spend quality family time together and have some laughs while exposing your children to some great music and art," LaTurner said in a press release.

Autumn Winds: An evening of Jazz, Comedy and Art is scheduled for 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Enumclaw Expo Center.

The event will be hosted by comedian and actor Rod Long and will feature jazz vocalist Greta Matassa and Trio along with former Ray Charles trumpeter Bobby Medina's Jazz with a Latin Twist show.

The program begins with an opening by Mayor John Wise at 4 p.m., followed by Matassa and then Medina at 6 p.m.

The event will also feature an exhibit of local and regional artists' work.
Kids 13 and younger will enter free of charge. All others pay $20. Food will be available for purchase.

Tickets are available at the city's Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services office at the Expo Center or by phone at 360-825-3594.

LaTurner said Autumn Winds is scheduled, rain or shine. If the sun is shining it will be on the lawn, but if it rains the show will move indoors.
