The city of Enumclaw’s Gallery 2009 presents Expressionism in Photography by Enumclaw’s Ken and Lydia Strange today, Wednesday, through Jan. 6.

This is the couples’ return to Gallery 2009 after each having individual 2008 exhibits. The Stranges are no strangers to having their photographs seen and purchased by the public. They have participated in numerous international competitions, juried art shows, art fairs and are currently exhibiting their photographs in four Northwest galleries.

Enumclaw Cultural Programs Manager Gary LaTurner said their scenery and abstract work is fascinating, and in 2009, they developed and began marketing their digital photographic process light fusion imagery.

A reception for the artists is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.

Gallery 2009 is located in the Council Chambers at Enumclaw City Hall, 1339 Griffin Ave. Hours for the exhibition space are 8 a. m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Enumclaw City Hall is closed on national holidays. The gallery is closed to the public on Tuesday of each week for municipal court proceedings. For information, contact the Enumclaw Cultural Programs office at 360-802-0239.
