Enumclaw High drama students, production are honored

Enumclaw High School's production of "Peter Pan" recently was honored at the 5th Avenue High School Theatre Award Recognition.

Out of more than 75 high schools around the state, EHS placed in the top 10 in four different categories receiving an honorable mention in: Outstanding Orchestra, Outstanding Stage Crew, Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble Group for The Pirates, and in the category Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Featured Ensemble Role, Dane Chevassus picked up a nomination for Mr. Darling/Ostrich.

In addition, four EHS students have been invited to perform onstage during the opening number at the awards ceremony June 7 at the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle. KeelyAnn Kelly, Jeremy McCarthy, Kameron Jacobs and Taylor Capellaro will perform with the drama department in the audience cheering for them. The event begins at 7 p.m. and will be televised.
