Sumner musical enchanting | Letter to the Editor

It was my privilege to attend the Saturday night performance of this absolutely enchanting musical at Sumner’s Performing Arts Center. The cast was impressive. The audience was told that only three of the cast of some forty some members were “dancers” – one would never have guessed given the variety, complexity and number of dancers involved.

It was my privilege to attend the Saturday night performance of this absolutely enchanting musical at Sumner’s Performing Arts Center. The cast was impressive. The audience was told that only three of the cast of some forty some members were “dancers” one would never have guessed given the variety, complexity and number of dancers involved.

The costuming was extraordinary colorful, imaginative and vibrant. Imposing choreography, great stage craft! The music was captivating and what remarkable voices! Many of the songs were familiar to the audience and I had a difficult time not singing along with the cast.

Kudos to not only the students, but to all those who together gave the audience such an unforgettable evening.

Hopefully in the future better advertising can occur so even more people can enjoy this delightful experience.
