Crystal Mountain opens for skiing and snowboarding

More than 600 skiers and snowboarders hit the slopes today with two feet of snow in Green Valley.  The Gondola and Green Valley chairlift opened at 9 a.m. and will run until 2:30 p.m.  Lift tickets are reduced to $25.  These two lifts will be open again tomorrow, November 17th, with the same operating schedule and rates.  The mountain will be closed Monday and Tuesday, with a possible reopening on Wednesday depending on how the next storm system shapes up.  Crystal was already open for one day on October 1, 2013, which was the resorts earliest opening in the 51 year history.
