The staff at the Enumclaw Fitness Center, formerly the Enumclaw Wellness Center, invites the public to help celebrate the name change with an open house from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

The name was changed to clear up the misconception that the business was strictly a rehabilitation facility and a place for medical care. While rehabilitation is part of the mission, the center is primarily a fitness facility that offers members – currently more than 1,000 – the ability to achieve wellness and health goals.

Events during Thursday’s open house and member appreciation night include a spinning demonstration, fitness testing, a “biggest winner” reunion, healthy cooking class and door prizes.

The Enumclaw Fitness Center offers more than 40 fitness classes per week including kickboxing, a strength training circuit, yoga and pilates.

For information visit www.enumclawfitness.com or call 360-825-7837. The center is at 856 Cole St., behind Ace Hardware.
