Enumclaw’s Clothing Bank is offering free back-to-school clothes before school starts. Students or parents interested in making an appointment should call Sheila Smith at 360-825-5696 for an appointment.

The clothing bank offers clothing, shoes, coats and new socks and underwear to children who live in the Enumclaw School District.

The clothing bank, located at the J.J. Smith Elementary School building on Fell Street, is open 10 a.m. to noon and 4:30 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays.

According to Smith, the clothing bank is made possible thanks to the Enumclaw School District, which provides the space, and the donations of Stanley Patrick Striping Co., Gamblin Motors, the Muckleshoot Tribe, Enumclaw Rotary, Southwood Elementary PTA, Cedar River Academy, Enumclaw High School Giving Committee and others. With those donations, she said, the bank was able to help 989 people during the 2009-10 school year.
