Elderly woman stabbed and killed in Black Diamond Friday, 50-year-old son in arrested
The Black Diamond Police Department reported an 86-year-old woman, Ella May Walker, was stabbed to death Friday afternoon in the 25000 block of Morgan Street.
The woman’s 50-year-old son, Cecil Douglas Walker, was arrested for allegedly committing first degree murder, domestic violence in the death of his mother.
Sgt. Greg Goral from the police department said at 4:45 p.m. the son walked into the police department and told the receptionist there was a dead body at the residence and left the station.
Goral said officers went to the scene and the son walked out of the home. The officers found the woman fatally stabbed inside the house.
Goral said the son made statements to the officers. “Enough for officers to take him into custody,” Goral said.
The Coalition of Small Police Agencies Major Crimes Task Force is on the scene and the Washington State Patrol will do the forensic investigation.
According to Goral the scene showed the crime was very violent and “there was a lot of passion in it.”
