The Enumclaw Rotary Club recognized Sarah Lurry and Mikey Burley as Students Of The Month at its Sept. 16 meeting.

Lurry, daughter of Laura and Robert Lurry of Enumclaw, was the recipient from Enumclaw High School. With a 4.0 grade-point average, she is taking Advanced Placement classes and is a member of the National Honor Society. A cheerleader since her sophomore year, she is captain of this year’s squad. Her other interests include gymnastics, snowboarding, wakeboarding, reading and participating in her church youth group.

She plans to attend a four-year university next fall and pursue a degree in physical therapy.

Burley, son of Billiejo and Michael Burley of Buckley, was the recipient from White River High School. A 4.0 student and National Honor Society member, he has completed three AP classes and is taking three more this academic year. He is an active member of the FFA, serving as both chapter and district president, and has competed in a variety of events successfully at state competitions. He is a member of Key Club and the Connections program at the high school.

He plans to attend a four-year university next fall, working toward an economics degree that he hopes to put to use in an agricultural-based career.
