Editor's note: the following was issued at noon Tuesday by the Washington State Department of Transportation.

WSDOT Alert

DATE/TIME: November 16, 2010, 12:00 p.m.

DESCRIPTION: Chinook pass is closed for the season. Weather conditions are rapidly deteriorating on Chinook Pass. With more than five feet of snow already on Chinook, driving conditions are becoming too dangerous to keep the pass open.

LOCATION: SR 410 from milepost 57 to milepost 74 Morse Creek to Crystal Mountain Boulevard

START: November 16, 2010, 12:00 p.m.
