The groundbreaking ceremony for Buckley’s replacement fire station begins at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The event is open to the community and fire department staff, city officials and representatives of Five Rivers Construction will be on hand.

Five Rivers will move its portable office onto the property during the first week of March and construction will commence.

“We can just hardly wait,” Fire Capt. Al Long said. “We’re ready to move into the station right now.”

The ceremony will take place on site at 611 S. Division St.
