SLIDESHOW: Cities honor EHS state wrestling team

One would think that after three parades in four years, the Enumclaw High wrestling team would be use to all the attention.

But, coach Lee Reichert and the Hornets say it never gets old.

Once again, the communities of Enumclaw and Black Diamond honored the state champions. This is the third time in four years, the EHS wrestling team has brought home the state's top honor.

The afternoon started with a parade down Cole Street, a ceremony near the Chamber of Commerce office and a pizza dinner at the EHS library.

Mayors from both cities, school board members, the EHS band, student leadership officers and cheer squad were all in attendance to make the day complete.

As is tradition, two books about wrestling will be donated to school libraries in the wrestling team's name.

The team is also scheduled to be honored at the next Enumclaw School District Board of Directors meeting.
