SLIDESHOW: EHS GIRLS TENNIS: Hornets ice Lions and Panthers

In its season opener, the Enumclaw High girls tennis team put away Auburn Mountainview 4-1 for its first league win then put Bonney Lake on ice for victory No. 2.
Against the Lions, Alex Putman rallied from a 6-4 loss to win two straight 6-0, 6-3. Gina Sanders and Bedda Johnson kept their league win streak from last season alive with a 6-1, 6-1 victory. Rachel Norling and Katie Holland lost the first set 7-6, then won two straight 9-7, 6-4. Kayla Zilbauer and Hannah Smith won 7-5, 6-0.
In its 3-2 win over Bonney Lake, the Hornets dropped both singles matches, but won three doubles starting with Sanders and Johnson downing Kelsey Kober and Laura Miculinich 6-1, 6-0.
Holland and Norling teamed for a 6-4, 6-1 victory and Zillbauer and Smith went 6-1, 6-1 against the Panthers.
