Four seats to be decided on Enumclaw School Board

Four seats on the Enumclaw School District board of directors will open for election in November.
Three positions – director areas No. 1, 3 and 4 held by Nancy Merrill, Corey Cassell and Tim Nickson, respectively – are on their regular cycle of four-year terms.
Director area No. 2, currently filled by Tamarah Hancock, will be on the ballot to complete the final two years of the term vacated by Cathy Dahlquist when she was elected to the state legislature.

The filing period begins the first Monday in June and ends the following Friday. All declarations of candidacy must be received before the close of business on the last day of the filing period. Declarations of candidacy received after this date, regardless of the postmark, are invalid.
Mailed declarations of candidacy may be submitted in advance up to 10 business days before the filing period begins. Declarations of candidacy can be filed by mail, in person or on-line. Information can be found at the King County Elections website, www.kingcounty.gov/elections.aspx.
