Enumclaw VFW post will be busy with Memorial Day events

Enumclaw Post 1949 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars has organized several local events celebrating Memorial Day.

The public is encouraged to attend all events.

The VFW, along with Boy Scout Troop 411 and Cub Scout Pack 500 will post flags at Evergreen cemetery Friday afternoon.

Saturday, the post is sponsoring the annual Memorial celebration at Enumclaw Veterans Memorial Park. The program commences at noon with the Gateway Concert Band providing a music prelude starting at 11:30 a.m.

VFW Post 1949 will hold a Fire Watch at the Enumclaw Veterans Memorial Park commencing at 9  p.m. Saturday.

Sunday, the post will conduct a memorial service at Enumclaw Evergreen cemetery to honor all those veterans buried there.

Monday, VFW Post 1949 and the Gateway Band will participate in the Memorial Day service at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent.
