WRHS graduates 245 Thursday night

White River High School graduates Hannah Keegan, Kari Daniels, Sierra Wasilk, Kaelynn Goes and Tia Johnson gather around English teacher Jeanette Schuster before commencement exercises Thursday at the White River Amphitheatre. White River handed out 245 diplomas. The ceremony included performances by the band and choir, scholarship honors and a speech from valedictorian Michael Burley, who quoted Dr. Seuss, talked of the ‘Nerd Herd’ and gave a nod to classmate Kelsi McKune, who lost a battle with lymphoma. The WRHS Class of 2011 salutatorian was Analise McKay. White River Alternative Program’s Collins High School hosted its graduation ceremonies June 9 at White River High School and its Choice Program commencement exercises were June 6 on its Buckley campus.
