Area voters will have to decide just one seat on the Enumclaw School Board this fall, as Sara Poe Hardersen has officially withdrawn from the District 2 race.
She had filed, along with April Schroeder, for the unexpired, two-year position. Now, Schroeder will be the only candidate on the ballot. In a related move, the remaining members of the school board appointed Schroeder to fill the vacancy until election time.
The only contested school board race will be for the District 4 seat, where Tina McGann and Dan Peterson are candidates.
Two remaining seats up for election have only the incumbents on the ballot. Nancy Merrill will retain her District 1 seat and Corey Cassell will keep his District 3 post.
