Downtown streets in both Enumclaw and Buckley will be crowded Friday afternoon as Hornet homecoming parades get rolling.

It’s Homecoming Week at both Enumclaw High and White River High and that means a week filled with student activities, selection of royalty, Friday’s parades, Friday night’s football games and Saturday night dances.

The parades can choke downtown traffic as Cole Street in Enumclaw and Main Street in Buckley are temporarily closed. Enumclaw High’s parade begins at 4:30 p.m. and will cover Cole Street from Washington to Stevenson avenues.

In Buckley, the parade gets started at 5 p.m. and will keep Main Street blocked from Glacier Middle School to River Avenue.

For more on the two homecoming celebrations, see page 30 for White River details and page 31 for Enumclaw information.
