Storm clean-up slated for Buckley residents

January 25, 2012 · 3:50 PM

For Buckley residents wishing to dispose of tree branches and debris from the recent winter storm, the city is offering help. If you can haul the tree debris to where their collection bins and chippers are, they will take it off your hands for free.

Jan. 28 and 29, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. the city of Buckley and Waste Connections are making large bins available at the Buckley Log Show Grounds, 375 North River Ave.

This project is designed to cover yard waste only and all limbs and branches must be cut to a minimum length of 4 feet. The operation will be monitored by city staff and proof of Buckley residency will be required (receipt from utility bill may be best).

Those with an elderly neighbor or a neighbor who has a lot of debris, but no vehicle with which to tote the branches down to the Log Show Grounds, are encouraged to lend a hand or a truck to the clean up cause. Questions can be directed to Buckley Public Works at 360-829-1631 or Buckley City Hall at 360-829-1921.
