At today’s Council meeting, Councilmembers:
Recognized Sue Rahr for her service to the residents of King County as she begins her last week as King County Sheriff.
- Unanimously approved a motion regarding increasing access to the One Regional Card for All (ORCA) regional fare medium for public transportation (Motion 2012-0092).
- Unanimously adopted a motion approving the purchase contract for the county’s Sewer Revenue and Refunding Bonds, 2012 (Motion 2012-0017).
- A motion appointing Steve Strachan as King County Sheriff (Motion 2012-0114). The motion was sent to the Committee of the Whole for consideration.
- A motion related to the establishment of a veterans internship program in King County (Motion 2012-0122). The motion was sent to the Government Accountability, Oversight and Financial Performance Committee for consideration.
