Enumclaw's Tim Nelson to coach Auburn Riverside girls basketball team

The Auburn Riverside High School Athletic program announced the selection of former Enumclaw girls basketball coach and teacher Tim Nelson as head girls basketball coach.  Nelson will replace Terry Johnson who has coached the Ravens for the past three years.

Nelson had a successful tenure as the girls basketball coach at Enumclaw High School where his teams qualified for state 6 out of 7 years, placing 2nd in 1998.  During his time at Enumclaw Nelson coached several players who went on to play college basketball.

Nelson takes over a program that has competed at the highest level over the past decade.  The Ravens have won 3 state championships over the past six years.  Recently, the Ravens have graduated a number of players who have gone on to play at the Division 1 collegiate level.
