Body of woman recovered from Green River by emergency team | Black Diamond Fire Department

Mountain View Fire and Rescue/Black Diamond Fire Department reported this afternoon at about 1:38 emergemcy personell had found the body a woman in the Green River.

KomoNews is reporting the victim was identified as a 22-year-old woman from Kent.

The fire department reported Thursday evening emergency personnel were en route to a possible river rescue on the Green River in the 293000 block of Green River Gorge Road.

The body was not found until today.

It is believed the woman fell into the river while hiking and her cousin attempted to save her. He fell but was rescued.
