16-year-old Yakima boy recovered from Deep Lake died at Auburn Regional Center

The 16-year-old boy pulled from Deep Lake yesterday, Aug. 7, in a drowning incident, died at Auburn Regional Medical Center according to King County Sheriff's spokeswoman Sgt. Cindi West on her Twitter account.

The King County Medical Examiner’s office stated the cause of death as drowning and identified the boy as Zachary Kuhn.

King County divers recovered the teen from about 50 feet of water. According to Tim Perciful, spokesman for King County Fire District 44, the boy was from Yakima and was part of a church youth group at Nolte State Park.
