At approximately 4:30 pm Tuesday, July 3, King County Fire District No. 28 emergency personnel were dispatched to a one car rollover accident on 284th Avenue SE just south of the Expo Center.
The SUV was traveling northbound on 284th Avenue SE when it veered off the road into the ditch where it proceeded for several feet rolling end over end. The driver was able to exit the vehicle on her own but it took eight fire personnel about 20 minutes to bring the passenger out to safety due to the complexity of the extrication and the injuries.
Members from Enumclaw Police Department, King County Sheriff’s office, Washington State Patrol, and Medic 12 were present to assist with the scene. The injured passenger was taken to an area hospital with moderate injuries.
The road was closed down for about one hour.
