King County Council up coming meetings

Monday, July 30

Metropolitan King County Council – 11:00 a.m. ***Special Meeting Time

Councilmembers are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:
  • An ordinance authorizing the Executive to sign project service agreements between the County and the State Department of Transportation pursuant to which the state will pay for the County to provide design review and project support for SR-520, Medina to SR-202 Transit and HOV Project Station design (Substitute Ordinance 2012-0243.2).
  • An ordinance establishing the alignment and station locations for RapidRide Lines E and F (Ordinance 2012-0225).
Metropolitan King County Council – 1:30 p.m.
Councilmembers are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:
  • An ordinance related to a new multi-purpose sports and entertainment facility authorizing the King County executive to execute a memorandum of understanding with the city of Seattle and ArenaCo and to execute an interlocal agreement with the city (Ordinance 2012-0202). The Council will take public testimony on this item.

Transportation, Economy and Environment Committee – 9:30 a.m.

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

  • An ordinance adding Everett Transit to list of eligible transportation service providers in the county’s employee transportation program (Ordinance 2012-0265).
  • Briefing:

     

    The 2012 King County Comprehensive Plan (Briefing No. 2012-B0045).

--The Committee will hear public testimony after the briefing.

Law, Justice and Health and Human Services Committee – 1:30 p.m.  ***Special meeting location*** The committee will meet in the Southwest Conference Room, 12th Flr King County Courthouse
Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:
  • An ordinance authorizing and approving the July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013 office of public defense contracts for legal services (Ordinance 2012-0255).
Briefings:
  • Discussion of Department of Adult Juvenile Detention Operational Matters (Briefing No. 2012-B0133).
  • Review of Adult Juvenile Justice Advisory Groups Work in 2012 (Briefing No. 2012-B0133).

Regional Water Quality Committee – 3:00 p.m.

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

  • An ordinance approving an amendment to the county’s long-term combined sewer overflow control plan and authorizing the King County executive to prepare a water quality assessment and environmental benefit study to provide information for the next combined sewer overflow control program review in 2018 (Ordinance 2012-0235).
