Everett man dies near Enumclaw in motorcycle-dump truck collision

A 20-year-old man from Everett died when his motorcycle collided with a dump truck Saturday, Sept. 15.

The crash occurred at 3:30 p.m. the 23400 block of Southeast 400th near Enumclaw.

The 20-year-old man was riding westbound and a friend on another motorcycle was riding with him.

According to Sgt. Cindi West, public information officer for the King County Sheriff's Office, the 30-year-old Enumclaw man driving the dump truck was pulling out of a pasture on 400th.

"The dump truck driver saw the victim’s motorcycle and the second motorcycle," West wrote. "He thought that he had enough time to pull out.  (The) motorcyclists struck the right rear of the truck and died on scene."

The Everett man was wearing a helmet and there is no evidence of drugs or alcohol. The crash in under investigation.
