Prowler interrupted, burglars arrested | Enumclaw police reports Oct. 12-15

PROWL INTERRUPTED: A Wells Street resident called police at 8:26 p.m. Oct. 15, reporting he had interrupted a man who was attempting to open a screen door to his home. The suspect fled on foot but was soon located by officers. After being identified by the intended victim, the suspect was taken into custody for second-degree criminal trespass.

TOO MUCH TO DRINK: A woman contacted police shortly before 11 p.m. Oct. 15 regarding her adult son. Contact was made at their vehicle, which was parked across from the police station. Officers advised of the consequences to an individual and a business with regard to over-service of a customer. Information was provided about agencies that might be of assistance.

TWO ARRESTED: Police received a call at 6:18 a.m. Oct. 14 regarding a possible burglary in progress. Two suspects were located at a Blake Street address and arrested. An associated vehicle was taken to an impound lot for processing.

SUSPICIOUS: Police took several reports the night of Oct. 14 regarding a man who had been drinking and was creating problems in the Harding Street area. One caller said the man walked onto her porch; another said he was using inappropriate language as he walked by. The man could not be found.

TOOLS STOLEN: Police learned the morning of Oct. 13 of a vehicle prowl at a Chinook Avenue address. Taken from a work vehicle were a chain saw, nail gun, air compressor and miscellaneous tools.

PARKING PROBLEM: Police were asked to provide extra patrol during afternoon in the vicinity of Kibler Elementary School. It was reported that parents park in crosswalks when waiting to pick up children and are rude to crossing guards when asked to move.

TOILET TIPPED: A nearby resident told police Oct. 12 of seeing juveniles tip over a portable toilet at the Southwood Elementary soccer fields. Officers confirmed the report, checked other locations around town and notified the company responsible for maintaining the toilets.
