Early morning high-speed pursuit in Maple Valley | Two arrested

A report was received concerning a  high-speed pursuit in Maple  Valley involving male and female that began at about 12:50 a.m.

The incident is reported to have began along Maxwell Road involving a burglary in progress that was called in by neighbors.

King County Sheriff's Office Guardian One helicopter arrived and watched subjects coming in and out of garage.

Two undercover detecteive arived and subjects fled up Maxwell Road to Cedar Grove Road.

Marked patrol cars took over the pursuit to Maple Valley Highway going southbound toward Maple Valley.

Speeds are reported to have reached over 90 mph.

Maple Valley police officers placed spike strips at 231st and Maple Valley Highway. The fleeing vehicle hit the strip and the tire blew out. The vehicle continued fleeing with spark flying past the Chevron station. The vehicle is reported to have crashed down bottom of hill.

Foot pursit ensued. Guardian One tracked and spotted both subject for officer on the ground.
