King County Sheriff's deputies ends search for shooting suspect

The manhunt for a man suspected of shooting a man in Renton and a woman near Issaquah ended tonight when deputies located the suspect vehicle and a man, believed to be the suspect, dead in the vehicle with an apparent self inflicted gunshot wound.

Sheriff deputies received information from Renton Police around 2:30 p.m. to be on the lookout for a man who was suspected of a shooting in Renton.

Just before 3 p.m. sheriff’s deputies received a call of a shooting in the 13400 block of 209 Ave SE in unincorporated King County near Issaquah.  When deputies arrived they found a 67 year old female with multiple gunshot wounds.

Detectives said that the woman’s former son-in-law, had kicked in her front door, chased her through the house and shot her as she ran into the back yard.  Detectives learned that the suspect was also the suspect in the Renton shooting earlier in the day.

The suspect fled both shootings in a black 2011 Chevrolet Aveo with Oregon plates, 025FJQ.  The vehicle description and suspect information was passed on to the media and the public. At approximately 8:30 PM deputies received a call that a vehicle matching the description was parked and running near 13000 Martin Luther King Jr. Way S.

Deputies arrived and found the suspect vehicle and a man in the driver’s seat dead from an apparent gunshot wound.   Detectives from Renton PD and the King County Sheriff’s Office are investigation the incidents.
