Incident

Nov. 13

  • 154 Ave SE. Firefighters, King County Sheriff's deputies and Puget Sound Energy responded to power line down and arcing across the road. When fire arrived on scene people were driving over the active power lines. Deputies closed the road while they waited for PSE. Firefighters left the scene since a deputy was on scene waiting for PSE. The firefighters were called to the scene again because wires were arcing again. Fire fighters stayed on scene with the deputy until PSE arrived on scene. MVRS advises people to never drive over power lines. You should always assume that power lines are live and keep away from them. A dead power line can get re-energized at any time which can cause injury or fire. Walking near them, or driving over them can be deadly.
