- FLOODING: 227 Pl SE. A resident called 9-1-1 because their dishwasher was flooding their kitchen and they did not know how to turn the water off. A neighbor helped them turn the water off so the fire department was canceled while in route. According to MVFR Spokesperson Tim Perciful, residents are advised to learn how to turn off their water, gas, electricity, or other utilities during emergencies. It is also important to know how/when to turn these back on and if a professional should be called in to help.
